開畫票房:「爭爛」大對決

周四開畫電影共有六部,不過在新片平均表現不及上周的情況下,結果昨天收入只達190萬,較上周四下跌若一成三左右,當中大型發行電影表現較佳,小型發行電影在宣傳層面不足下表現疲弱,然而全部電影每場人次均在40以下。與此同時,昨天也出現行政長官參選人的僭建風波,未知此事會否影響昨晚入場意欲。

新開畫電影方面,以霍士發行的動作愛情喜劇《爭女特務王》表現較佳,首日安排於38院映198場下,錄得50萬的成績。《爭》片觀乎預告仿如港式動作愛情格局,在近期開畫電影而言算是較為輕鬆的選擇,也許因而獲得其目標市場,不過繼後票房仿需觀察。

同日開畫由晶藝發行的《爛賭夫鬥爛賭妻》於30院映149場下,雖然在賬面上錄得36萬,較《爭》片相距近三成,但入座水平卻跟《爭》片相距不足百分之五。《爛》片由王晶執導,杜汶澤與薛凱琪主演以賭為題材的電影,算是填補近年缺乏賭片的空隙,在風味上沒合拍味道下獲得渴求港片觀眾支持,當中於旺角百老匯與UA朗豪坊表現尤為理想,兩院均錄得逾三萬五千的成績,其餘各區的入座也算理想,但其口碑如何將影響繼後成績。

三部衝著奧斯卡提名開畫的電影表現在預期之下,當中驕陽發行的《情迷夢露7天》雖然情人節入座高企,但正式開畫首天於13院映62場下僅獲票房九萬八千,每場平均人次只在24左右,連同累積則達24萬。《情》片雖然以愛情及瑪莉蓮夢露作賣點,不過前者在情人節過後需求暫時飽和,後者在年青族群意欲一般。

部份奧斯卡提名電影在微量宣傳之下,票房表現更為不濟。當中華納發行的《響在耳邊近在眼前》雖有湯漢斯及珊迪娜布洛演出,但宣傳期極短加上觀眾對其電影認識不足下,首天即使於16院映71場作中型發行,最終開畫只有八萬一千。新力發行的《魔球》以香港人興趣不大的棒球為題,加上電影已在外地推出影碟多時,故此即使有畢彼特主演及多項提名也好,首天於10院映47場也只錄得票房四萬四千。

小眾發行方面,鐳射發行由柯德莉塔圖主演的法國電影《一吻巴黎》首天於七院映29場,結果首天進賬三萬四千,每場人次也在18左右,看來認知度也許不足或其戲院組合缺乏競爭力,連同累積則達12萬。

在仍在上映的電影方面,三部主要開畫電影在縮場約三成左右下成績各異。寰亞發行杜琪峰執導的《高海拔之戀II》於38院映178場,結果錄得每場平均廿人下進賬23萬,但在情人節表現突出下,累積八天也達665萬,看來最終票房可以八百萬作目標。環球發行的《黑金速遞》在《爭》片開畫下明顯地其目標觀眾已被吸納,昨天於35院映123場只獲十萬,累積達304萬。相比之下,高先發行的《昂山素姬》表現則十分平穩,在15院映48場下雖然只獲12萬,可是其入場人次卻達38水平,較上周四只下跌百分之四,也許普遍觀眾認為電影水準不俗有助票房,為電影累積達207萬。

其餘電影方面,娛藝與英皇發行的《逆戰》仍於十大位置之內,昨天映49場獲七萬二千,累積達2,160萬,且看最終票房能達至二千二百萬,迪士尼發行的《鐳霆戰駒》昨映30場獲五萬一千,累積則352萬,也算是有所交代。

  1. I am so glad that 《昂山素姬》is still hanging on. I believe this one appeal to mature audiences who does not rush out to see movies. While it is hardly the greatest political movie ever made (this is a Luc Besson movie afterall), it is still more than passable mainstream entertainment, and seeing Michelle Yeoh on the screen is already worth the ticket admissions.

    I am not going to lie and say that I actually have expectations about 《爛賭夫鬥爛賭妻》. True, the movie poster is almost an exact copy of MR AND MRS SMITH, but there are a lot of fans of gambling movies. I sometimes wonder if this movie should be screened during CNY. HK$360K opening is great, which makes it alrady an above average opener for 王晶. It seems 杜汶澤 and 薛凱琪 has become a nice presence to movies. I just hope this movie is a reasonably made low brow entertainment, otherwise it will crash very soon.

    There are far far too many Oscar movies, hence not a surprise to see《情迷夢露7天》doing middling business. It is a disturbing sign that the movie might be very frontloaded, which is a shame because the HK marketing team did a lot of work for the movie. However if impressive marketing effort did not help push THE HELP to higher grosses, it is very hard to see this one succeeding. I just hope it can finish close to what BLUE VALENTINE did, i.e. HK$900K.

    《響在耳邊近在眼前》already disappointed in its home market. Sandra Bullock in Oscar nominated movies equals box office poison. HK exhibitors now can take note. At least nobody put much of an effort, so nobody cares.

    If《魔球》is about NBA or football instead of baseball, maybe it will do better. Looks like movie fans need to rush out hurry this weekend.

    For other mainsream Hollywood movies, 奪命異能 has reached a disappointing HK$6,774,364 in grosses, terrible compare to its better than expected performance in USA, more terrible looking at Fox HK’s other marketing efforts for HK. Now Fox’s 《爭女特務王》has a premise and Chinese title almost copying from studio stablemate KNIGHT AND DAY. If this movie have average legs, it will finish with HK$7-7.5 million.

    《黑金速遞》’s main target audience is male, and I do not think its dropoff was a direct result of 《爭女特務王》. Male oriented movies does not tend to have great legs in the first place. Now we will see if this one can finish close to HK$4 million as I originally predicted.
